Our story
We are Aggie and Margherita, and we founded Love Folio in 2013. We both grew up near Florence. Based between Italy and the UK, we photograph weddings in Italy, the UK, and across Europe.
Aggie comes from a family of artists. She began with painting and cinema, then found that photography allowed her to bring design and observation together. She divides her time between Milan, Florence and the English countryside, and her work has been recognised by the Sony World Photography Awards, the Wellcome Photo Prize and the Italy Photo Award. Her photographs have appeared in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Monocle, Elle, and Marie Claire, among others.
Margherita also grew up in a family of artists, surrounded by stories and performance. That sense of narrative runs through her photography today. She is based between Florence and Rome, and her work has been shown at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, the Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci and Dryphoto Arte Contemporanea, as well as in collaboration with the French Academy in Rome at Villa Medici.
Our vision begins with what is real, the energy, the light, and rhythm of the day, and ends with photographs shaped with clarity and style, contemporary and enduring.
We approach weddings with instinct and intention. Instinct comes from a documentary way of working, keeping us tuned to what is happening in real time. Intention draws on our experience in fashion and editorial, shaping those moments into frames with clarity, structure and style. This balance gives the work both immediacy and design, photographs that are alive in the moment yet carefully considered in the frame.
For couples this means the day flows naturally. We are present but discreet, focused on atmosphere, movement and detail. The photographs that follow form a contemporary, considered body of work that endures, so that, when you return to them, the atmosphere and the emotion are there, intact.
